Welcome

Elements of Pain is changing pain education in medicine for medical professionals.

This website is run by medical specialists, who understand how challenging studying for fellowship exams can be. Nick has recently completed his pain fellowship exams and is determined to make studying easier for pain fellows.

We will improve education in pain medicine by promoting an Online Course in Pain Medicine.  Course material will comprise, referenced reading material, video lecture presentations, a monthly journal watch of relevant journals and regular communication between us all.

We also have the worlds first Pain Medicine Wiki with past pain fellowship exams, model answers, topical future questions, relevant links and comments. The Wiki is free to all, just "create a free account" and start exploring and editing the Wiki yourself. Whether you are a fellow or consultant, log in to add your pain medicine knowledge to our Wiki.

3 complementary topics are ready now. This will give you a taste of the full course. The topics are Definitions of Pain, History & Examination - an Overview and The History in detail.

See our 2012 Course Info page for registration and full access to all the online course material and the online course we will run in 2012.

We hope Elements of Pain makes studying for your exams easier - Don't study hard, study easy!
